Just around the time of the very first JARC meeting....right when my passion started to renew, I bought a really cool looking plating Monti. It was bluish...and purple, a great looking colony. I took it home and put it in my tank and it turned kinda orange....not what I wanted, but I figured it was that my tank had been neglected for so long that the water parameters were way out. I had a little spare time so I broke out the tripod and tried a few pics using SOME of the tips Jay learned....I didn't mess with exposure cuz I didn't have time to look up how to do it...LOL...the camera is still pretty new and I'm still learning. Here;s a couple simple shots....

Hey all, I know Morgan went to the Mike Palleta seminar on coral health and coloration at the midwest fragfest. I do not know if anyone else went or not.
Morgan, or anyone else, do you remember any of the information that he shared? I am looking for info like that, and coming from someone like him is usually pretty sound advice and info. ok heres the plan im getting a canopy soon and it sits 12 inches off the tank and was wondering what sets of lights do you guys think would be the best for my situation. I plan on keeping softies lps and some clams no sps in my 75 gallon tank.Im thinking 2 175w metal halides and 2 54w tek t5 retro kit or 2 250 w metal halides and 2 54w tek t5 retro kit or 6 bulb tek 54w t5 retro kit or the 8 bulb tek t5 retro kit. I want my stuff to grow like crazy. what do you guys think? thanks joe
