Default Brennan's Odyssey: A Newbs Quest

*as seen on RC*
Alright, here we go =).

So it started in high school as just a thought...college made it impossible to keep a tank....but now.....it begins

The annoying questions have culminated (dont worry, there will still be plenty more) into a steady movement

Bought a really nice tank....with a slight catch....a 1/2inch thick frozen and hardened sand bed, and a tank with coraline encrusted on the sides.

Much...much later...

Break time until tomorrow, where hopefully I can stop tasting vinegar

Additionally I purchased an RO/DI, it was probably my only impulse buy mistake as it certainly wasnt the best brand, but it was cheap and gives good water as the fish in my preestablished 29 gallon will attest (althoguh I need to borrow someones TDS)

Then I woke up one morning obnoxiously early to find a killer deal on liverock so I bought 110 lbs kept in a 55gal

I also bought a quietone 3000
Which I didnt take a picture of, but hell, you all know what they look like

So theres where I stand now. 2 Koralia 4's have been purchased and are shipping. Next step is a sump, probably going to make one out of a 36'' unless I spot a deal on here. Lighting is still in question, but I'm leaning torward t5, and then a reef octo nwb 150.

Wish me luck and progress =P

Don't worry about the RO/DI. As long as it gives 0TDS water thats all that matters. I bought a 4 stage for $25 thinking it would get me by til I could buy a good one. That was 2 years ago and it still works top notch. What you got going there is coming together nicely

Sharki might have a TDS meter. I told her to get me one a few months back and then my wife was able to "borrow" one from work so I didn't buy the one sharki had.

I'm so happy for you on that tank.... I was watching very closely over at RC because I was going to snatch that up if you didn't take it.....

Now, get that tank clean and get some water in it.... hurrry up.... cause then you get to sit back and just wait....that's the worse part of all of it....
