I was looking at aqua traders. Whats up with odeysea Metal halide T5 combos? why are they so cheap? 48' 716 watts total for $329.00.

Kenny, I would stay away from the Oddsea MH lights. They have a history of catching on fire although that problem has been fix last I heard. But I have also heard that they are not worth what you pay for them, things like they burn up bulbs and the Ballasts burn out. I have their T5's and have never had a problem with them though.

I have heard nothing but bad things about Odeysea. You can get a good MH setup for a little more.

I know Sharki is doing a group buy with Coralvue, They has Lumen Brite setups, I would be interested on prices of those. 2 sets and you would be set for your tank. I know my Bro inlaw uses 3 20k on his 150 and loves them. He doesn't need supplemental light from T5's or Actinics

I've got 2 250 20Ks over the 90 right now and everything is great. I miss the actinic pop so I'll be changing over to something with some actinic on it (this weekend, I hope...)

The Odyssea fixture is the one that I had. It definitely caught on fire in the center of my living room after about 2 years of use. Really though other than the bad ending I thought it was a really good system. Still not worth it to potentially burn down my house though.
